The University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) has a long history of caring for patients with airway diseases. Our mission is to deliver excellent patient care and to develop new knowledge about the lung in health and disease. Dr. MeiLan Han is the Principal Investigator for the American Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Center (ACRC) at UMHS. Dr. Han is a pulmonologist with expertise in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The University of Michigan and Henry Ford Health (HFH) are in collaboration to conduct clinical trials in children and adults for the American Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Centers Network. At HFH, Dr. Alan Baptist serves at the site primary investigator. Dr. Baptist is an allergist with expertise in asthma. Henry Ford Health (HFH), one of the nation’s leading comprehensive, integrated health systems, is a Michigan non-profit corporation organized in five regions encompassing Metropolitan Detroit. The vast clinical resources and diversity of the populations served by HFH make it uniquely suited for population and clinical studies.
