Dr. Peters is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Medicine at UCSF. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. He completed his medical school training at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, his internal medicine training at the University of Colorado, Denver, and completed a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed a masters degree program in clinical research. His clinical activities include critical care medicine, attending in the UCSF pulmonary function laboratory, and an outpatient practice focused on the care of patients with severe asthma. He directs a research program at the UCSF Parnassus Heights campus focused on identifying the molecular mechanisms that drive severe asthma.
