Dr. Floyd Livingston is the division chief of pediatric pulmonary & sleep medicine for Nemours Children’s Health, Orlando, a position he has held since 1999. Dr. Livingston is the principal investigator of Nemours Children’s Health, Orlando for the ALA-ACRC pediatric studies. He holds a professor of pediatrics appointment at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and associate professor of pediatrics appointment at Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Livingston is board-certified in both pediatric pulmonary and pediatric sleep medicine.

Dr. Livingston has published extensively in journals such as, American Review of Respiratory Disease, Archives Biochemistry & Biophysics, Pediatric Pulmonology, American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, Journal of Applied Physiology, Free Radical Biology & Medicine, Chest, Pediatrics, and The New England Journal of Medicine. He is past president of the American Lung Association of Central Florida, medical director of Boggy Creek Gang/ALA Asthma Camp and the AAP Asthma Medical Home Champion for the State of Florida. In 1999, Dr. Livingston received the Florida Voluntary Health Association (FVHA) Medical Volunteer of the Year Award. Dr. Livingston has been named both Orlando’s Best Doctor and Top Doctor. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Livingston has won several teaching awards and research honors. His special research interests include cystic fibrosis, childhood asthma, cellular lung defense and pediatric sleep medicine.
