I was born with asthma and allergies. My single-parent mother also has asthma plus sinus problems. As a baby and throughout my childhood, I made frequent visits to the emergency room and have been reliant upon several inhalers, a pulmonary machine and weekly allergy shots. At 24-years-old, my doctor prescribed a medicine commonly used to treat COPD.
