Kitty L., FL

I have pulmonary fibrosis. There is little known about this disease; yet, as many people die of it each year as those with breast cancer. There is no cure and no approved medication to improve the terrible hardening of the lungs.

Lung transplants can extend life expectancy, but many people die while waiting for a new pair of lungs. My brother, who also has pulmonary fibrosis, received a transplant over 10 years ago and is doing quite well.

Breathing for us is difficult enough without having to deal with bad air. Thank you for bringing this issue to the public.
