Genetic instability affects treatment response in metastatic lung cancer

This study found that patients with metastatic lung cancer, who have multiple specific mutations have genetic instability that may reduce treatment response to certain therapies. This is important because it helps explain why some tumors within the same patient respond differently to treatment, information which leads to more effective and personalized therapies. This was published by the Lung Cancer Interception Team, an Accelerator Program collaboration with LUNGEVITY and Stand up 2 Cancer.
