Preference for and impact of telehealth vs in-person asthma visits among Black and Latinx adults

This study found that telehealth appointments were just as effective and often preferable to in person visits among Black and Latinx adults with moderate-to-severe asthma. This finding is important because Black and Latinx adults experience disproportionate asthma-related morbidity and have limited access to specialty care. Senior author Juan Carlos Cardet, MD, MPH was awarded the American Lung Association/AAAAI Allergic Respiratory Diseases Award.
