This study developed a model called BONOBO (Bayesian Optimized Networks Obtained By assimilating Omics Data) to accurately estimate gene interaction for individual samples, considering variation among people. This improved ability to capture individual differences will personalize medicine by tailoring treatments based on unique genetic patterns. Co-author Camilla Lopes-Ramos, PhD was funded by a Lung Cancer Discovery Award.
