This study created a new computer method called Refphase to study how cancer cells change their DNA, helping to understand how specific changes happen in different parts of a tumor. This is important because it is a new tool to help solve a puzzle of how cancer grows and changes, which will improve future cancer treatments. This study was funded by the Stand Up To Cancer-LUNGevity-American Lung Association Lung Cancer Interception Dream Team Translational Research Grant.
