Lung Cancer Screening Resources
Our Lung Health Navigators can help you find out if you are eligible for a lung cancer screening. Receive guidance and resources each step of the way by:
- Locating a primary care provider or a screening center near you
- Visit: Oklahoma Lung Cancer Roundtable - Lung Cancer Screenings
- Or call: 844-ALA-Lung to talk with a Lung Health Navigator
- Securing the required screening order from your primary care provider and schedule appointments
- Receiving follow-ups after your appointments
- Coordinating transportation to and from your screening
- Providing guidance on health insurance coverage or
- Offering full coverage for your LDCT scan, if eligible, including out-of-pocket costs
- Referring to free tobacco cessation services, like the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline
- Accessing free educational materials and resources
- Receiving continued support beyond screening, including information on Lung Cancer Support Groups
We're proud to be a part of the Oklahoma HOPE Initiative: Helping Oklahomans with Prevention and Early Detection - Lung Cancer Screening & Tobacco Cessation Saves Lives. Together with the Oklahoma Hospital Association, OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, University of Oklahoma, Healthcare Quality Improvement Platform (HQuIP), Florida State University, and the Coalition Coaches and Public Health Management Corporation, with increasing lung cancer awareness and strengthening partnerships with hospital systems, clinics, community-based organizations, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Our shared goal is to improve programs that help Oklahomans quit smoking and increase lung cancer screening participation for people who qualify.
