The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network Invests in Wisconsin’s Lung Health

Presenting Sponsor of the Lung Association’s Oxygen Ball on May 1

The American Lung Association in Wisconsin is proud to announce that the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin health network is serving as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 Oxygen Ball, taking place Friday, May 1 at Discovery World.

This partnership strengthens critical work across Wisconsin, where more than 803,000 people live with lung disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer.

“This partnership reflects our deep commitment to improving lung health across Wisconsin through prevention, early detection and advanced treatment, said Amir Ghaferi, MD, president and CEO of the Physician Enterprise and senior associated dean for Clinical Affairs at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. “By supporting the Oxygen Ball and the American Lung Association, we are investing in research, education and community resources that help patients breathe easier and live healthier lives.”

“This special evening brings our community together to champion lung health and advance efforts that ensure healthier lungs for all,” said Megan Cordova, Executive Director of the Lung Association. “We are grateful for our partner the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network whose support through the Oxygen Ball help us provide critical lung health resources to all Wisconsinites.”

The Oxygen Ball fuels the Lung Association’s work to end lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families and create a tobacco-free future. Ninety cents of every dollar raised goes directly to research, programming and advocacy.

Join the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network and guests across Greater Milwaukee at the Oxygen Ball Gala on May 1. For more information, and to buy tickets, visit the event site today.
