Lung Association Hosts Virtual Happy Hour for Lung Health, COVID-19 Initiative

Today, the American Lung Association in Michigan announced a virtual happy hour that will take place on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. for residents to learn about local Lung Association events, and hear about statewide efforts to end lung cancer, lung disease and COVID-19.

The event will also serve as a kickoff celebration for the upcoming Detroit LUNG FORCE Walk, set for September 25 through October 4. This year, the event was re-imagined as an exciting virtual experience that lasts for 10 days. Residents can participate from anywhere in Michigan and are invited to run or walk their 5K anytime within those 10 days.

“We invite anyone to join who is interested in learning about lung health, local efforts to end lung disease or getting involved in our LUNG FORCE Walk,” said Maureen Rovas, executive director for the Lung Association. “During the happy hour, we will host some fun activities, share how the American Lung Association has been making an impact on lung disease in Michigan and highlight our COVID-19 initiative.”

RSVP to the kickoff here and be entered to win a LUNG FORCE tote bag. More information about the Detroit LUNG FORCE Walk is available at LUNGFORCE.org/Detroit.
