UnitedHealthcare Supports Community Efforts to End Lung Disease

Invests in Lung Association’s local research, education and advocacy

The American Lung Association in Wisconsin announced that UnitedHealthcare, for the 10th consecutive year, will present the 2022 Oxygen Ball – Bon Voyage on Friday, May 6 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee. Ascension Wisconsin and Zizzo Group are some of the sponsors of this year’s event.

“Our signature events like the Oxygen Ball allow us to fund our work to help people suffering from lung disease in our community,” said Megan Cordova, executive director of the Lung Association. “The lung health support we provide for people in need would not be possible without sponsors like UnitedHealthcare. From funding asthma education, to delivering lung cancer resources, it is because of our wonderful supporters that we can advance the Lung Association’s mission.”

Attendees at this year’s Oxygen Ball will be whisked away for a cocktail hour, culinary delights and surprises as new pathways to help end lung disease are explored. Throughout the evening, the event will offer opportunities to bid on silent and live auction items to help support the Lung Association’s efforts to eliminate lung disease.

“UnitedHealthcare is honored to be the presenting sponsor of this important event and support the Lung Association’s ongoing efforts toward healthy lungs for all,” said Dustin Hinton, CEO, Wisconsin and Michigan of UnitedHealthcare. “The annual Oxygen Ball brings everyone in the community together for a great cause. We look forward to seeing everyone in person again for this special evening.”

As the trusted champion of lung health, the Lung Association closely follows CDC guidance related to COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic is changing rapidly and requires evolving strategies to maintain effective public health measures. As such, the organization’s COVID-19 safety protocols may shift in response to updated COVID-19 local conditions and local ordinances.
