FT. LAUDERDALE, FL | August 20, 2020
This Friday, August 21, the American Lung Association in South Florida will host the Memorial Cancer Institute LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree presented by the Erwin and Barbara Mautner Charitable Foundation. Tickets are still available for the event, which has been re-imagined as an engaging remote gala.
As a part of the event, the silent auction presented by Ginsberg Shulman Attorneys at Law is currently live at www.lungforcesunsetsoiree.org. Anyone can bid on experiences like a Costa Rica dream vacation and a South African safari, VIP concert tickets, fine art, diamond jewelry, designer handbags, and much more.
The Memorial Cancer Institute LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree is the premier luxury lifestyle event of the season where fashion meets philanthropy in an evening of awareness, education, support and hope. Each year, more than 350 healthcare partners, corporate leaders, lifestyle brands, and LUNG FORCE Heroes come together to celebrate advancements in lung health and raise funds to end lung disease.
“This year’s event will harness the same luxury feeling, but safely at home for our attendees, sponsors and partners,” said Event Chair Lori Adelson, Esq. of HR Law Pro. “But just because you are at home, doesn’t mean you can’t dress up! We encourage everyone to check out our Cleveland Clinic Florida Virtual Style Lounge before the event. And anyone can view and bid on items in our online action.”
The evening will open with a special welcome from emcee Kenny Walker, of Entercom Media’s 102.7 the Beach, Memorial Cancer Institute and Broward Health before guests participate in an interactive mixology lesson presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Fever Tree mixers. Then the Lung Association will honor our Memorial Cancer Institute Distinguished Physicians Award recipient Dr. Ignacio Castellon. Local LUNG FORCE Heroes will share impactful stories to bring lung cancer out of the darkness and into the light during the LIGHT THE WAY LUMINARY virtual procession powered by FPL. During the event, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits and Tito’s Handmade Vodka will host a Turquoise Matching Challenge, where they will encourage donations and match up to $35,000.
Money raised at the Memorial Cancer Institute LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung disease through education, advocacy and research. It also supports the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative, a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.
This year’s event is sponsored by Memorial Cancer Institute and presented by the Erwin and Barbara Mautner Charitable Foundation. Thank you to Entertainment and Virtual Production Sponsor, HR Law Pro, Law Offices of Revis, Hervas & Goldberg P.A., and Turquoise Takeover Partner, Parent’s Choice Medical Daycare.
