Lung Association Pickleball Tournament and Gala Fundraiser Smashes in the New Year to Promote Lung Health

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the American Lung Association welcomes business leaders, pickleball players and families from across Southern California to join its annual American Lung Association Pickleball Tourney & Gala a unique opportunity to celebrate lung health and raise awareness while playing America’s favorite participation sport. The tournament kicks off at 3 p.m. at The Hub San Diego, a state-of-the-art pickleball facility in Spring Valley, and will be followed by a unique “Athleisure-wear” gala on the courts with great food, live entertainment, dancing and a chance to mingle with hundreds of fellow business, sports, healthcare and community leaders. This very special day comprises a “King-of-the Court” format tournament, followed by championship matches. Once champions are “crowned,” all guests can enjoy a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere at the event’s athleisure-wear gala featuring delicious food and drinks, dancing and entertainment including noted Fleetwood Mac cover band, “Fleetwood Max,” and mingling with community and industry leaders from across the region. This special “after-party” also honors Lung Health Champion of the Year American Lung Association National Ambassador and Local Board Member Tony Gwynn Jr. Community Service Awards will also be presented to local leading doctors Laura Crotty-Alexander, Kelan Tantisira, Mark Fuster, Phillipe Montgrain and Kaveh Bagheri. And Clinician of the Year for Community Service to Dr. Tim Morris.
