Over $165K Raised at Inaugural Lung Association Gala for Lung Health

200 attendees dressed up and donated to help end lung disease

Hundreds glammed up for a good cause at the American Lung Association in Rhode Island’s inaugural The Affair for Air Gala. The one-of-a-kind event held at the Graduate Hotel on Friday, November 14, raised more than $165,000.

200 gala attendees were treated to local cuisine, signature drinks, and live music. They also enjoyed a silent and live auction to raise funds to support lung disease and lung cancer research, programs, education, and advocacy.

“The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease,” said Daniel Miramontes, executive director Lung Association in Rhode Island. “It was an unforgettable evening for a great cause, and we are so grateful for everyone in the community who came out to support lung health.”

Funds raised at The Affair for Air Gala will help more than 181,000 people in Rhode Island living with lung disease.
