Hundreds Accept Oxygen Ball Mission and Raise $273K to End Lung Disease

Supporters dress up and donate at Lung Association fundraiser

Mission Accomplished! 280 guests gathered at the American Lung Association in Wisconsin’s 2024 Oxygen Ball -Mission Possible, locally presented by UnitedHealthcare. The event, held at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s Lake front, raised more than $273,000.

The fundraiser was emceed by Milwaukee Fire Chief, Aaron Lipski and Denise Thomas, Founder of The Effective Communication Coach and included a silent auction, live auction, and a fund-a-need event with all the funds supporting lung disease and lung cancer research, education and more.

“The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease,” said Megan Cordova, executive director Lung Association, Wisconsin. “We are so grateful for everyone in the community who came out to support us and to support lung health.”

Participants also enjoyed exquisite local cuisine, cocktails, and games.

“It was an unforgettable evening for a great cause,” said Cordova. “The funds raised will help the 689,000 people living with lung disease in Wisconsin.”

Since 2007, the Oxygen Ball has raised over $5 million dollars.
