Oxygen Ball Raises Nearly $300K in Breathtaking Fundraiser to End Lung Disease

Hundreds of supporters dress up and donate to the Lung Association

The American Lung Association in Wisconsin is over the moon to announce nearly $300,000 was raised at their annual Oxygen Ball-Moonlight Soirée.

The event, locally presented by UnitedHealthcare on Friday, May 2, included a silent auction, live auction, exquisite local cuisine and signature drinks. More than 300 guests were also deeply moved by the Mission Moment sponsored by AprilAire, that featured the emotional story of a woman who lost her husband to lung cancer at just 35 years old.

All funds raised will go towards programs, research and advocacy to end lung disease and support 862,000 Wisconsinites living with lung disease.

“It was an unforgettable evening. We are so grateful for everyone in the community plus our sponsors who came out to support us and to support lung health,” said Megan Cordova, executive director Lung Association, Wisconsin. “The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease.”

Since 2007, the Oxygen Ball has raised over $4.9 million dollars.
