NEW YORK , NY | April 21, 2023
The LUNG FORCE Walk is a celebratory and welcoming event that provides critical funds for lifesaving lung cancer and lung disease research, early detection initiatives and awareness.
“More than 34 million Americans live with a chronic lung disease like asthma and COPD – and lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among people in the U.S., but here is hope. Communities everywhere are coming together to push for more research, more treatment options and more support for those impacted by lung diseases,” said Erica Masin, Executive Director at the Lung Association in metro New York. “On May 13, hundreds of New Yorkers will turnout to the South Street Seaport to raise awareness about lung cancer, lighten the burden for people living with lung disease, honor the memory of those we’ve lost and lift up those who need our love.”
The LUNG FORCE Walk is great for friends, family and companies to come together to support people with lung disease and lung cancer, have fun and get some great exercise. Joining the LUNG FORCE Walk supports the work of the American Lung Association to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families, and eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.
Arunesh Verma, CEO, Cipla USA said, “Cipla USA is proud to partner with the American Lung Association for the LUNG FORCE Walk NYC. Our expertise in respiratory health has helped us launch several pioneering innovations to help millions around the world to breathe free.
