Hartford Residents Take Steps to End Lung Cancer at LUNG FORCE Walk on June 3, 2023

REGISTRATION IS OPEN For the Annual American Lung Association event funding lifesaving lung cancer research
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S., but the American Lung Association is working toward a future free of this disease. In an effort to end lung cancer, the American Lung Association LUNG FORCE Walk will take place at Great River Park on June 3, 2023.

The LUNG FORCE Walk is a celebratory and welcoming event that provides critical funds for lifesaving lung cancer research, early detection initiatives and awareness. Registration is open at LUNGFORCE.org/Hartford

“Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among people in the U.S., but there is hope. More Americans than ever are surviving lung cancer. The survival rate has increased by nearly 40% in the past decade,” said Daniel Bowler, executive director at the Lung Association. “On June 3, hundreds of Connecticut residents are coming together to raise awareness about lung cancer, lighten the burden for people living with lung disease, honor the memory of those we’ve lost and lift up those who need our support.”

The LUNG FORCE Walk is great for friends, family and company teams to come together to support people with lung disease and lung cancer, have fun and get some great exercise. Joining the LUNG FORCE Walk supports the work of the American Lung Association to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families, and eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.
