Nearly $400K Raised at Sold Out Gala to Help End Lung Disease

600 Guests Gathered for Lung Association event for lung health

More than 600 people gathered for a good cause at the American Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City’s LUNG FORCE Gala: A Night of Champions. The May 8th event, sponsored by the Accurso Law Firm, was held at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and raised nearly $400,000.

Keynote speakers for the LUNG FORCE Gala were Trevor and Deb Blaylock, who shared their inspirational story of hope and determination while battling lung cancer. Igniting change and inspiring hope were the heart of the evening.

Gala attendees were treated to local cuisine, signature drinks, and interactive games. They also enjoyed a silent and live auction to raise funds to support lung disease and lung cancer research, programs, education, and advocacy.

“The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease,” said Linda Crider, executive director Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City. “It was an unforgettable evening for a great cause, and we are so grateful for everyone in the community who came out to support lung health.”
