Hundreds Rally to Raise $295K to End Lung Disease

Supporters dress up and donate at Lung Association Gala for lung health

Touchdown! Nearly 500 people gathered at the American Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City’s annual LUNG FORCE Gala presented by The Accurso Law Firm. The event, held at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, raised nearly $295,000.

The Gala featured a silent auction and live auction to raise funds to support lung disease and lung cancer research, education and more. Guests also had the opportunity to “Live like a CHIEF” as part of an add-on VIP Experience that took them into the NFL Super Bowl LVIII Champions’ locker room.

“The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease,” said Linda Crider, executive director Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City. “We are so grateful for everyone in the community who came out to support lung health.”

Participants also enjoyed exquisite local cuisine, cocktails, and games.

“It was an unforgettable evening for a great cause,” said Crider. “The funds raised will help more than 374,000 people in Kansas and more than 818,000 people in Missouri living with lung disease.”
