Alive Credit Union To Sponsor Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb on March 22

Hundreds of participants to climb to top of Jacksonville’s tallest skyscraper to fund lifesaving research and support people living with lung disease

Today, the American Lung Association is recognizing Alive Credit Union for expanding its investment in lung health and the North Florida community. The company has signed on as Presenting Sponsor of the 17th annual Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb, the Lung Association’s premier stair-climbing fundraiser, on Saturday, March 22.

Investing in lung health is especially important in Florida, where more than 3.2 million people live with lung disease, including lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.

“We are proud to deepen our long-time partnership with the American Lung Association on this fantastic event that supports healthy lungs and clean air for all,” said Christian Pagan, vice president, marketing at Alive Credit Union. “We believe that everyone can make a difference, and participating in the Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb saves lives. You can directly fund research into treatments and cures, programs and services for people living with lung disease.”

The Jacksonville Climb will take place at Bank of America Tower, the city’s tallest skyscraper. Hundreds of participants will stair-climb to the top floor, while raising awareness and critical funds for people living with lung disease. 90 cents of each dollar raised supports the Lung Association’s mission of creating a world free of lung cancer and lung disease.

The Jacksonville Climb is designed for every type of participant, from beginners to seasoned climbers to firefighters and first responders. Participants determine their pace. With 734 stairs, 37 stories and incredible views from the top, the Bank of America Tower is the perfect setting for a day of fun, challenge and camaraderie.

Pagan added: “We’re encouraging our community to meet us on the stairs and register today at ClimbJax.org.”

Join Alive Credit Union and hundreds of participants across North Florida, including families, friends, first responders and corporate teams, at the 17th annual Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb. Form a new team, join an existing team or register as an individual climber. Registration is $35, with a $100 fundraising minimum. For more information, and to register, visit ClimbJax.org.
