Climbers Raise $275K at Fight For Air Climb Miami

Funds raised will help Floridians with lung disease

This morning nearly 1,000 people laced up their gym shoes and took to the stairs of loanDepot park for the American Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb, locally presented by Metro-Dade Firefighters IAFF Local 1403.

Families, friends, firefighters and corporate teams climbed 1,700 steps as they made their way through loanDepot park to raise $275,000 to help the 2.8 million Floridians living with lung disease.

“We are very grateful to everyone that came out to support lung health and so proud of the funds raised,” said Peter Berger, Fight For Air Climb event chair, American Lung Association in South Florida. “Thanks to the determination of our supporters and climbers we raised $275,000 to help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease in South Florida.”
