Climbers Raise Nearly $160K at One Kansas City Place for Lung Health

This morning, nearly 300 people raised almost $160,000 at the 2024 Fight For Air Climb Kansas City, locally presented by Empower. The event supports more than 374,000 people in Kansas and more than 818,000 people in Missouri living with lung disease.

Climbers of all skill levels tackled 42 floors at One Kansas City Place to raise awareness and money to fight lung disease through research, education, and advocacy.

“Thanks to the determination of our supporters and climbers we raised nearly $160,000 to help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease in Kansas and Greater Kansas City,” said Linda Crider, executive director, American Lung Association. “We are very grateful to everyone that came out to support lung health and so proud of the funds raised.”

The Lung Association looks forward to next year’s Climb event and continuing its commitment to improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
