Climbers Raise over $105K at Hartford 21 for Lung Health

More than 330 participated in Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb to help find cure for lung disease

This morning, more than 330 people raised $105,000 (and counting) at the 2026 Fight For Air Climb Hartford. The event supports 480,000 Connecticut residents living with lung disease.

Climbers of all skill levels raced up 34 floors totaling 688 steps to the top of Hartford 21 to raise awareness and money to fight lung disease through research, education, and advocacy.

“Thanks to the determination of our supporters and climbers we raised over $105,000 to help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease in Connecticut,” said Daniel Miramontes, Executive Director, American Lung Association in Connecticut. “We are very grateful to everyone that came out to support lung health and so proud of the funds raised.”

The Lung Association looks forward to next year’s Fight For Air Climb Hartford and will continue its commitment to improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
