Climbers Raise Over $335K at Soldier Field for Lung Health

This morning, more than 750 people raised over $335,000 at the 2024 Fight For Air Climb Chicago at Soldier Field, locally presented by UnitedHealthcare. Firefighters, who put their lungs on the line each day, participated in full gear to help raise awareness of the importance of lung health.

The 15th annual Chicago Climb supports more than 1.2 million people living with lung disease in Illinois. Climbers of all skill levels raced up and down 2,000 Soldier Field steps to raise critical funds for research, education, and advocacy.

“Thanks to the determination of our supporters and climbers we raised more than $335,000 to help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease in Illinois,” said Danielle Trojanek, Executive Director, American Lung Association. “We are very grateful to our community who came out to support lung health and so proud of the impact our dedicated supporters made.”

The Lung Association looks forward to next year’s Climb event and continuing its commitment to improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
