Local Financial Services Leader Eddie Fisher Elected to American Lung Association’s National Board of Directors

The American Lung Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Eddie Fisher, RICP®, CPFA®, to the National Board of Directors. The Raymond James investment professional brings decades of financial services expertise to the National Board, where he will provide strategic and governance oversight to the organization. He will continue in his role on the National Investment Sub-Committee, which oversees investments that fuel research, programs and services.

“It is a great honor to expand my contributions to the American Lung Association’s mission by joining the National Board,” Fisher said. “This work is extremely close to my heart and has become my true passion in life. My father passed away from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and my mother was his caretaker. By advocating for lung health and serving the community on this scale, I am honoring their memory and legacy.”

Fisher has been involved with the Lung Association for nearly a decade. He has held several volunteer leadership roles focused on driving the organization’s lifesaving efforts across Florida and the Southeast. He most recently served as chairman of the Southeast Regional Board and chairman of the Orlando Leadership Board and will continue serving on those boards as immediate past chairman. In 2022, he was honored as the “Southeast Region Board Member of the Year.”

Fisher leads Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James, serving as first vice president, investments. For more than 25 years, he has helped individuals and families manage their wealth by developing comprehensive, personalized investment strategies that account for increasingly complex investment situations and ever-changing market conditions.

Earlier this month, Invest in Others, a nonprofit that amplifies charitable work from the financial services community, awarded Fisher with an honorable mention for Volunteer of the Year for his work with the Lung Association.
