Halloween Gala to Host Families for Drive-in Event

Breath of Fresh Air Bash designed for fun, safety and to raise funds for COVID-19 research

Louisville’s premier Halloween party will look a little different this year, but the 12th annual Breath of Fresh Air Bash will continue its tradition of hosting an evening of fun, food and fundraising on Saturday, October 31, 6:30 – 8:30 PM at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Ave. in Louisville.

This year, the event theme is “A Spooktacular Soiree,” and attendees will drive-in and participate in the ‘touchless’ event from their cars. This means they will view activities on a giant outdoor screen, check-in from their mobile device, drive-through to pick-up their meals and will participate in the live and silent auctions via mobile bidding.

“We are excited to be able to host this event in a safe way and continue its long tradition of being the highlight of the fall in Louisville,” said Deena Adams, executive director for the Lung Association. “COVID-19 has taken a toll on our community, but it will not deter us from our efforts against lung disease and for clean air. We are grateful that the Louisville community will continue to support us at this event and have fun in doing so with our live auction, raffle and bourbon pull offerings, which will give attendees access to some exclusive products and experiences.”

The Breath of Fresh Air Bash is sponsored by the Envirome Institute, and the honorary chair is Dr. Victor van Berkel, thoracic surgeon at the University of Louisville.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 31 at the Olmsted in Louisville. Reserved parking at $150 per vehicle includes two boxed dinners and beverages (additional meals may be purchased), signature cocktails, and trick or treat bags for kids.

Almost 90 cents of every dollar raised goes to the Lung Association’s programs and services, including research, advocacy and public health education.  More information, tickets and sponsorship information is available here.
