Pittsburgh’s UPMC Children’s Hospital Dr. Jane B. Taylor Named 2026 American Lung Association Volunteer Excellence Award Recipient

Dr. Taylor, a pediatric pulmonologist at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, exemplifies the heart of volunteer excellence through her compassion, leadership and dedication to improving lung health. A committed advocate and educator, she has strengthened programs, elevated community engagement and championed inclusion across multiple regions. From her early leadership in Kansas City and Western Missouri to her continued impact in Pennsylvania, Dr. Taylor has helped shape key American Lung Association initiatives, including the Fight For Air Climb, LUNG FORCE Expo and Asthma Educator Institute.

She has also become one of the Lung Association’s top fundraisers nationwide. Through thoughtful engagement with major donors and a strategic approach to philanthropy, Dr. Taylor has been recognized as the top fundraiser for the Fight For Air Climb over the past three years. Since 2020, she has personally raised more than $156,000 and an additional $22,000 for the LUNG FORCE Walk through direct donor outreach.
