Although we have not had first-hand experience with this disease, a college classmate was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer less than five years after graduation, and died very quickly after his diagnosis, leaving his wife a widow at 23. The friend was funny, generous, a tremendously talented musician, and his death was a great loss. I hope a cure can be found.
