Dawn D., FL

In the spring of 2024, I had an injured shoulder. While getting an MRI, a mass was seen in my right lung. I do not smoke and wasn't what was considered high risk. In the past, I've lived in an area with frequent ozone action days and sometimes found it difficult to breathe on the really hot days.

I do have a history of thyroid cancer, so my first thought was that it had spread to my lung when I learned of the mass. After biopsy, we knew it was primary lung adenocarcinoma. The tumor was removed and no further treatment was necessary. A few months later, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. When choosing a DMT, I had to weigh the risks vs the benefits given I'd just been diagnosed with lung cancer. I just had my regular follow-up CT scan today and am hoping for the best.
