Dr. Gupta is a national leader in public health, who serves in multiple roles across the US Healthcare system. Described as one of the nation’s most recognizable medical experts, Vin is a practicing pulmonologist who currently serves as a Medical Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC and as the Chief Medical Officer of Amazon Pharmacy and Newe Health Initiatives. He’s worked at the intersection of health and technology over the past decade, including work with Apple Health Clinical team on its Oxygen and 1-lead ECG features on the Apple Watch. He is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington’s School of Medicine, serves as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force Medical Reserve Corps, and holds board positions for the Center for Environmental Health and PNW-based Climate Solutions. Additionally, he is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. 

Dr. Gupta has active board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine, received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton in 2005, MD from Columbia University, master's degree in international relations from the University of Cambridge and a masters of public administration degree from Harvard University. He is a Fulbright Scholar and  completed his medical training at Harvard Medical School.
