Sumita Khatri, MD, is a pulmonary physician specializing in asthma patient care and clinical research. She is passionate about lung health advocacy and public health and dedicated to the mission of the American Lung Association.
Most recently, Dr. Khatri served as Chief Medical Research Officer at The National Institute of Health, within the Lung Division of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
Dr. Khatri is the former Director of the Asthma Care Center at the Cleveland Clinic, where she also cared for patients in the Medical ICU and served as a professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Previously, Dr Khatri was faculty member at Emory University and MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Dr. Khatri has medical degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in clinical research from Emory University. She trained in adult pulmonary and critical care medicine at Cleveland Clinic.
