Nakia Tremble has served as an executive for ScionHealth, formerly known as Kindred Healthcare, for nearly a decade. She is Senior Vice President of Operations for ScionHealth’s Specialty Hospital Division, which includes 22 acute specialty hospitals, five acute rehab units, and behavioral health units in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Arkansas.
Previously, Tremble served as the organization’s Division Vice President and Regional Chief Operating Officer for more than a year, and Chief Executive Officer at Kendred Hospital North for seven years, leading her team to consistent clinical and operational excellence. She is also the former Vice President of Business Development & Strategy for Vibra Healthcare where she was responsible for 13 U.S. hospitals. Prior to her executive roles, Tremble worked for many years as a respiratory therapist in the ICU and Med-Surg units and continues to be a passionate caregiver.
Tremble has a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy and a master’s degree in healthcare administration. She is the most recent Chair of the American Lung Association in Indiana. She is also the Founding President of the nonprofit Mt. Vernon Youth Cheer Inc., a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and an active executive member of the Indiana Hospital Association.
