Jamie C., PA

My name is Jamie Crawford, and this is very important to me as my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in November 2016. She suffered and fought hard. It was a difficult time and it was hard to see how much of a struggle it was for my mom from day to day.

Unfortunately, March 5, 2017 she lost her battle and it was the worst day of my life. My mom did smoke for over 40 years but quit cold turkey in 2009. I just want everyone to be aware to always get checked and monitored.

I wasn't ready for my mom to leave and I'm struggling everyday to live without her. Life is unfair. Chemo didn't work; she was getting tired more and more everyday, she was stronger than us, I'll tell you that. She was a phenomenal woman and always put everyone above herself, she lived for her grandkids and us girls without a doubt.

Mom, I love you and I will never forget you. I will continue to fight for you and be strong for you, you are amazing and I only wish to be half the woman you were. She never really complained. I feel many doctors over the years never really gave full diagnosis; always told my mom her pain was arthritis but years later in true fact was lung cancer that took over her body. Please everyone, get second opinions and always be cautious and alert.
