I have been greatly impacted by lung disease since my mom died from lung cancer in 1986. I started working hard to fight for cleaner air ever since. My sister-in-law also passed away from lung cancer, and my in-laws died from various forms of lung disease as well. My daughter was diagnosed with asthma, and I was diagnosed with asthma as an adult. I have fought for smoke-free workplaces, and am a strong advocate for clean air everywhere. Because if we do not have clean air, every living thing is impacted.
