Rev. JAE H., NM

I live on the border of New Mexico and Colorado on Highway 550. The air and the sound pollution here is intolerable! It seems to me that the cause for all of this pollution is from the oil & natural gas industry. Their wells pump out methane rich gas with loud and filthy engines.

I have asthma and am choking all day and night under this cloud of stink. I believe only an Act of Congress would change anything here.

To give you greater perspective of the problem, all of the vegetation 60 feet above the Animas River is dead from the air pollution generated by the well pumps and the vehicle smog that blows in from Durango, CO.

I would like to move away, but where can I go where the air is clean? Everywhere the air is dirty!
