Monica M., AZ

I have a 10-year-old son named Chandler who is being home schooled because of his poor health. His asthma controls his life, and he misses out on a lot of things other children his age are able to do.

Chandler is a gifted piano and keyboard player. He wanted to play a flute, but his lungs would not let him. When he tried to play the flute, Chandler felt like he was going to faint. He also feels the same way when running or playing sports.

The doctor he has is very good and is the best he has had in years. There are a lot of the times that I can't afford to take him to the doctor and must try to get him well myself. There is no cure for this, and it is very costly with no light at the end of the tunnel.

The older Chandler gets, the worse it is. I was told to get a battery operated machine, but the insurance won't pay for it leaving Chandler with less freedom to play outside.

Thank you for reading my story.
