I live in Marion, Ohio, and there is a galvanizing plant approximately 150 yards from where I live. Every day this plant is in operation, it sends smoke into the air making it hard to breathe when you are outside.

This smoke turns vinyl siding on houses red and is impossible to get off. I contacted the EPA about two years ago, and they said that there isn't anything they can do. I think that air pollution regulations need to be changed to keep residential areas safe from pollution that comes from plants that just don't care.
