I moved from NYC to live in a cleaner environment. I have emphysema and I think I am doing okay - certainly better than I would have if I had stayed in NYC. Automobile polution is the most noticeable pollution that I come in contact with. I think a complete overhaul of the infrastructure for public transportation would help very, very much.
