Carol S., OH

My asthmas started when I was six months old and first became sick with double pneumonia. From then on, my life has been full of wheezing and hospital stays. I even stopped breathing twice. I am now 64-years-old and have been struggling for the past 63 and a half years.

Today, I am still wheezing, but by using my breathing machine every four hours, I manage. I am grateful for life, as I lost a friend to an asthma attack in Scotland 30 odd years ago. I was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 1/2 years ago even though I never smoked though my ex-husband did.

I am now battling the cancer and asthma. It's hard, but I know the Lord can hear me. I want to live and enjoy my husband of 3 years and my children and grandchildren. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one with asthma.
