Amy S., UT

When I was 29-years-old, I moved to the most polluted city I'd ever lived in— Salt Lake City, Utah. I could taste it in the air at first, but then I got used to it.

A few years later, I kept getting sick and had a sore throat for an entire year. Then I started getting big bumps on my face. I was tested for allergies and was allergic to almost everything on the list.

After five years of immunotherapy, I was feeling back to normal. Now that I've been off the shots for over five years, I'm getting bronchitis and asthma. I now live 30 miles north of Salt Lake City and the air quality has moved up here and north of us as well. I wish more people understood how bad it is and how much healthier we could be.
