This study used computer modeling to discover several potential drugs to treat Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) a common cause of infant hospitalization, and then validated their findings in the laboratory. This is important because there is currently no effective treatment for RSV, and these findings will lead to new research in antiviral drug development. Senior author Bo Liang, PhD was funded by the Lung Association Innovation Award.
