Adolescent use and co-use of tobacco and cannabis in California: The roles of local policy and density of tobacco, vape, and cannabis retailers around schools
This study found that more strict retail policies for tobacco, vape and cannabis retailers, especially near schools, were linked with lower usage of these harmful products among adolescents. This is important for local policymakers to enact restrictions to curb youth tobacco and cannabis use. First author Georgiana Bostean was funded by the Lung Association Public Policy Research Award for her work in reducing adolescent vaping and smoking of tobacco and cannabis products.
