New blood protein metric predicts cardiorespiratory fitness and mortality risks

This study found that a new metric based on proteins in the blood can predict a person’s cardiorespiratory fitness and risk of dying from any cause. This is important because measuring these proteins can give a more accurate picture of overall health, improve personalized medicine, and exercise recommendations.
