Paraoxonase 2 (PON2) plays a limited role in murine lung tumorigenesis

This study found that an enzyme called PON2 only has limited influence on the growth of lung cancer cells and development of lung tumors in mice. This is an important finding because it helps other researchers focus their efforts on other potential mechanisms, leading to more targeted and effective lung cancer treatments in the future. Senior Author Chi Li, PhD, was funded by the Lung Association Innovation Award for his work to develop new therapies for lung adenocarcinoma.
