This study evaluated an American Lung Association program called Environmental Improvements for Children with Asthma (EICA) to see if it could help kids with asthma. The program aims to make changes in the home environment to reduce asthma symptoms and improve control, and the program was adapted to virtual visits during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep kids safe. Senior author Jill Heins Nesvold is the Senior Director of Indoor Air and Asthma programs at the American Lung Association.
