Comprehension by Caregivers and Adolescents of Clinical Trial Information Delivered via Multimedia Video Versus Conventional Practice: Nonrandomized Controlled Trial
This study found that using an interactive video consent process was as effective as in-person discussion with written consent for caregivers’ understanding and retention of clinical trial information. This is important as it can potentially lead to better decision-making and participation in asthma clinical trials and other studies. This study was performed by the Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Centers (ACRC) network.
