Iconic Fight For Air Climb Returns to City National Bank Tower on February 17

American Lung Association invites the Central Florida community to make every step count in the fight against lung cancer and lung disease

Here in Florida, more than 2.7 million people live with lung disease, including lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. To help fund its work to end lung disease and save lives, the American Lung Association announced that it will host the iconic, 17th annual Fight For Air Climb Orlando at City National Bank Tower on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James is partnering with the Lung Association on the event.

“When you can’t breathe, nothing else matters. That’s why we’re encouraging the Orlando community to join us once again to have fun, get exercise and, most importantly, raise critical funds to assist us in the fight for healthy lungs and healthy air,” said John Rendle, member of the Fight For Air Climb Leadership Team.

This year marks the 17th anniversary of the Fight For Air Climb Orlando, the premier stair-climbing event in Central Florida. The climb is designed for every type of participant, from beginners to competitive climbers to first responders in full gear. Participants determine their pace. With 25 floors and 512 steps, City National Bank Tower is the perfect setting for a day of fun, challenge and camaraderie.

“Lung cancer and lung disease touches thousands of lives across Florida – we’re proud to partner with the Lung Association and provide a catalyst for its important work,” said Eddie Fisher, chair of the Lung Association’s Southeast Regional and Central Florida Boards and member of the Investment Sub-Committee of the National Board of Directors. “The Fight For Air Climb is an empowering way for friends, families, companies and first responder teams to step up for our community. Together, we can achieve a future free of lung disease and lung cancer.”

“We are grateful for the support of our partner, Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James, which is continuing in the philanthropic tradition of our regional partner Raymond James,” Rendle added.

Participation in the Fight For Air Climb Orlando supports the work of the Lung Association to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families and eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.

Registration for the Fight For Air Climb Orlando is now open for individuals and teams, which can include friends, families, companies and organizations. For more information, visit ClimbOrlando.org.
